...That the LR Discovery kind of looks like one of those rip off fake Land Rovers?
I think a lot of it has to do with the DISCOVERY badging...

Dealer: What are you looking for?
Buyer: Like...a Ford Explorer but more expensive and less reliable?
Dealer: Say no more

Land Rover should just contract the manufacturing to Landwind in China. I mean, if you can’t fight them, join them, right?

Range rovers have looked like Chinese copies of range rovers for a while.

I thought the Evoques at least look good though.

Wouldn’t expect much tbh, I do like the Evoques, I wonder if the smaller size would help with handling?

Yeah it could be a Kia. If THAT is a Disco now, there are far more pressing problems.

I don’t really know to be honest, the Evoque and Discovery seem to be very similar in size to me.

I’m constantly switching my view of the Discovery Sport. Most of the time I’m very meh on it but occasionally I see one with the right colour combo and all is well. Be very interesting to see how the actual Discovery turns out if they ever release the damn thing.

Maybe, never seen em next to each other, but the Macan and Evoque are both very visually appealing cars to me.

Release it? I’ve seen plenty of em like the one above.
Also, I’ve seen an Evoque with this gorgeous dark bronze/gold color with black accents (possibly Kaikoura Stone, but it looked a bit darker irl) and it looks stunning.

Wrong car. The vehicle above is the Discovery Sport. I’m talking about the actual Discovery or as you lot would say the LR4. The Discovery 5 or LR5 has been in development for ages now.
Personally I’ve always liked the squared off look of the Discovery and I’m not too keen on the rounded look of the Discovery Sport. Unfortunately for me, it looks like the actual Discovery will follow the Sport in the looks department going by mule spy shots.

Ah ok, yeah I would much rather have an LR4/Discovery too.

I don’t like this direction they’ve taken.
Sure, they’ve made their brand and 4x4 system more accessible with the affordable base Discovery. But it looks tacky and cheap with little or no options.
Not what I like to see from an entry level luxury car manufacturer.
